Benefits of Stephenson White Soap Base
Stephenson soap base contains only vegetable oils, is one hundred percent biodegradable and is never tested on animals. The soap base also has superior clarity and won't turn yellow as it hardens, unlike other soap bases.
Stephenson white soap base is easy to use. All you need to do to make a great bar of soap is heat the product until it melts, then pour the soap base into molds. After the product has been allowed to harden, simply remove the soap from the mold and you are ready to experience the moisturizing benefits of glycerin soap.
Since Stephenson white soap base is fragrance free, it is a great product for those who have allergies to fragrance. Stephenson white soap base is also compatible with many fragrances, and your own favorite essential oils and fragrances can be used to make a great smelling bar of soap.
Stephenson White Soap Base and Aromatherapy
One of the great things about working with Stephenson white soap base is that you can create aromatherapy soaps suited to your own personal tastes, all in a traditional looking white soap base.
If you choose to use essential oils in your soap base, you should add one teaspoon per pound, or one tablespoon per pound if you prefer using fragrance.
You can use any combination of essential oils you like for your aromatherapy soaps.
For a soothing and relaxing aromatherapy experience, try adding chamomile, lavender or geranium.
For an invigorating and energizing scent, you can add peppermint, eucalyptus, orange, lemon or grapefruit essential oils. (If you have especially sensitive skin, you should only use minimal amounts of citrus oil, which are known to increase the risk of sunburn.)
If you would like to make a nice masculine smelling bar of soap, try adding a combination of patchouli and vetiver to your melted soap base.
You can also add seasonal essential oils to Stephenson white soap base for great holiday gifts. Peppermint makes a great Christmas smell, and pumpkin scented soaps would be excellent gifts for those who love Halloween.
Storing Stephenson White Soap and Soap Base
Stephenson white soap base is made with purified water, which may cause your soaps to shrink due to evaporation. You should store your white soap in clear plastic wrap to avoid evaporation and shrinkage.
If you buy Stephenson white soap base in large quantities, you should store any unused soap base in its original packaging. If this isn't possible, then you should wrap the soap base in clear plastic wrap, and store it in a re-sealable container.
When it is properly stored, Stephenson white soap bars will stay fresh for a minimum of one year.
