Coconut Fractionated Oil
Coconut oil, also known as coconut butter, was first commercially produced by merchants in South Asia and the South Seas in 19680s. It is a tropical oil with many applications. Fractionated coconut oil is, however, a fraction of the whole oil. Long-chain triglycerides are removed form the whole oil, to get fractionated coconut oil, so that only saturated fats along with medium-chain triglycerides remain. Thus, it is more stable than other forms of coconut oil.
Fractionated coconut oil does not have the scent characteristics of most carrier oils and is odorless and remains liquid at room temperature. It does not leave behind any oily residue. It helps carry therapeutic oils underneath the skin. It also rather suitable for oily skin because it does not clog pores. It is commonly used in soaps and other skin care products.
