Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil
The scent of cinnamon often brings about visions of home, where there's spicy apple pies baking in the oven or steamy mulled cider brewing on the stovetop. It invokes memories of holidays gone by and happy times with family and friends. Cinnamon bark essential oil can help recreate those contented feelings when used by soap makers and aromatherapists. The rich, spicy scented oil has been used throughout history for both healing and spiritual purposes. Cinnamon bark oil can be used to help relieve pain from arthritis or rheumatism, and has antiseptic, analgesic, antibiotic and anti-spasmodic properties. It has a stimulating and invigorating aroma that helps build the feeling of confidence, stimulates motivation and increases mental energy. Cinnamon bark oil is also used as an aphrodisiac and is a natural insect repellant.
Cinnamon bark oil is steam distilled from the inner bark of an evergreen native to China and Vietnam. The oil is a rich golden brown color that has a medium note and is a thin to medium consistency. Enjoy the following recipes and see for yourself why so many people love this spicy oil.
